Abstract
The purpose of the research is to conduct a cross-cultural analysis of the understanding of sports and the values it forms by teenagers in the USA and Ukraine. The object of the research is teenagers from Ukraine and the United States. The subject of the research is the understanding of sports and the values it forms by teenagers. The main objectives are to identify common and distinctive features of attitudes towards sports and its axiological component in Ukrainian and American schoolchildren. The results of the cross-cultural comparison show the availability of both the same understanding of certain values in sports and an excellent vision caused, in our opinion, by the divergence of cultural traditions and the status of sport in the state
