Abstract
Professional Bachelor is the first professionally oriented study programme in Slovakia which links theory with practice. It is a 4-year bachelor study where almost half of the programme is a practice directly in the company. Pilot project was initiated by Volkswagen Slovakia, a. s. and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU in Bratislava, in 2017, as a response to the long-term lack of skilled workforce on the Slovak labour market. After a successful start of the Pilot project, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU in Bratislava offers a newly accredited professionally oriented study in the programme of automobiles and mobile work machines from September 2018.
